Abercrombie, who owns Pig Town Publications with her daughter, Emma, reported Winston-Salem-born creator Charlie Lovett came up with the notion for a e-book pageant in Lexington. He and other authors who attended Pig Metropolis Books’ Parade of Authors in December 2022 have been obtaining drinks with Abercrombie right after the celebration at Bull Metropolis Ciderworks when the concept for a book competition came up.
“He threw out the idea,” she stated. “We place a date on the calendar and started the ball rolling.”
For lots of years’ Abercrombie has labored in university and general public libraries, served on a lot of library committees and has worked as adjunct professor training programs which includes children’s and young adult literature.
