Can you guess the parents? A digital artist has used Artificial Intelligence to merge the faces of two TV celebrities to create lifelike images of their possible children.
The images are a result of the imagination of Brazilian digital artist Hidreley Leli Dião.
The artist created these super-realistic creations imagining what the love children of two TV stars would have looked like if their romance in the TV shows or films they starred in progressed.
So, MailOnline asks, can you work out the parents that these children belong to? Some are harder than others – but we’ve started you off pretty soft.
The answers can be found at the end.
Can you work out who these AI generated children’s parents are?
1. This child’s dad would be swinging from building to building…
2. If only his mum made room on that door…
3. The possible result of some summer lovin’
4. If only everyone could fall in love with a London bookseller
5. Here’s the son they didn’t adopt
6. His parents were once just Friends … but they rediscovered feelings for one another in the show
7. His dad is a bit of a superhero, but we’re not going to mention that
8. What day of the week is it again?
9. *Plays theme tune* ‘Somebody save me’
10. That’s the power of love
11. ‘The heart never forgets, never gives up, the territory marked off for those who came before’
12. His parents are one of cinema’s greatest ever dancing duos
13. If this movie doesn’t make you want to take up pottery with a buff hunk then you’re doing it wrong
14. His dad, a lonely doctor, who once occupied an unusual lakeside begins to exchange love letters with its former resident, a frustrated architect
15. As his parents kiss goodbye in one of the last scenes, ‘I Will Always Love You’ plays as a tribute to what they shared
16. You literally CAN’T buy love
While many of these celebrities dated in real life like Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire, others are simply a product of imagination; for example Friends’ Ross and Rachel’s child.
Dião also created what Monica and Chandler’s child would have actually looked like – as they Monica wasn’t able to conceive or carry a child and Chandler’s sperm had ‘low motility’ – to Notting Hill’s William and Anna’s child together after they announced they were expecting a baby together at the end of the movie.
And with AI taking over the internet by storm, it is no surprise that we’re seeing some breathtakingly amazing, interesting or odd and questionable art all over social media today.
The art world’s technological boom is changing the industry, and Dião’s work is just the start of what digital artists and technophiles can do.
Speaking to MailOnline Dião explained that he created a mechanicm that uses three mobile apps to create the final project.
Digital artist Hidreley Leli Dião (pictured above) has created all the amazing AI images you saw above. Dião’s work is just the start of what digital artists and technophiles can do
By combining Faceapp, Remini and Gradient, he was able to make his work extremely lifelike and detained… and pretty eerie at the same time.
He then explained that he makes any adjustments using Photoshop.
Explaining his ste-by-step process, the artist said: ‘First I go to another application that creates a face per second, choosing the one that will most resemble the result I want. Then I just use the magic formula that I created. Each image takes about 3 hours to get the result I want. Everything is fun for me and my followers. Nowadays I can live with just my art.’
Speaking about why he chose the movies and films he did for this project, he said: ‘I really like the couple from the movie Titanic and Dirty Dancing. I love making art with celebrities, especially knowing that their images are in the public domain.’
And on his his favourite AI project so far, he explained: ‘My most successful project was transforming cartoon characters into humans. But what I like most is bringing celebrities who died too soon for today.’
On where he thinks what AI and digital art has in store for the future, Dião said: ‘I believe that the use of artificial intelligence in art has become very important, I myself use it to see how long-lost people would look like today. The result is always impressive.’
